Dr. Bonnie Mallard, PhD

Dr. Bonnie Mallard is a Professor of Immunology and Immunogenetics in the Department of Pathobiology at the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph, where she has taught and conducted research for over 35 years. She is a co-founder of ImmunoCeutica Inc. and serves as Scientific & Education Advisory Lead.

Dr. Mallard's research focuses on the genetic and genomic regulation of immune response and resistance to infectious disease, with a primary emphasis on disease prevention. She is the inventor of the patented High Immune Response (HIR™) technology, which identifies animals with genetically superior immune function and forms the scientific basis of Immunity+™, commercialized globally by Semex Alliance.

Her contributions to immunology have been recognized with Canada's Governor General's Innovation Award (2017) and the NSERC Synergy Prize (2021), making her the first Canadian scientist to receive both honours. Additional distinctions include the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence, the Zoetis Research Award, and the University of Guelph Innovation of the Year Award.
