What Is SelNAC?

Quick answer: SelNAC is a two-ingredient formula combining selenium (200 mcg from selenium-enriched yeast) and N-acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC, 300 mg). Because the selenium content of plant foods depends heavily on the soil they're grown in, dietary intake in Canada can fall short of what's needed - even among people eating a varied diet. Deficiency has been linked to impaired T-cell function, increased vulnerability to viral infections, and in research, selenium-depleted viruses have been shown to mutate into more virulent strains due to excess oxidative stress.
